Calling all budding Jamies, Nigellas and Delias…

Are you stuck in a rut when it comes to family meals? Do you wish you could create more exciting packed lunches? Would you like to extend your repertoire of quick and delicious recipes?

FOPPS would like to put together a cook book that Mums, Dads and children can use, safe in the knowledge that the recipes are tried and tested, and we need your help.

Every family has at least one recipe that never fails – that each member of the family loves and that can be relied on time after time. We would like you to share that recipe with us! We’ve set up an online form below that is really easy to use, so all you need to do is fill in the fields and we’ve included an example recipe for illustration.

We want our recipe book to be a little more personal, so we’d like you to include a sentence or two on why either you love cooking this recipe or why it’s so popular with your family. We’d also love to include recipes that you like to cook with your children or even recipes that your children cook themselves!

You can enter a recipe for anything that takes your fancy e.g. Super Snacks, Lunchbox Winners, Family Dinners, Sweet Treats, Perfect Puddings … The choice is yours – all we ask is that you include as much information as possible so the recipes are clear and easy to follow.

The deadline for submitting your recipe is Wednesday 31st March 2010.

We will then select the best recipes and these will feature in a unique fundraising cookbook.

We’ll also be running a competition for the children to design the front cover of our cook book – watch out for more details.
